Are there other kinds of specialty pans that All County Sheet Metal makes for other industries?
Refrigeration Pans
In the refrigeration part of the HVAC industry, we’ve done a tremendous amount of work, because in groceries stores, they have overhead refrigerant lines. One of the things that they’re very cautious about is if there’s anything that can cause a liability for anybody. So, somebody slipping and falling is a big concern. When it condensates and it drips on the floor, and someone slips, they need something to catch that condensation. We’ve done work for Whole Foods, we’ve done for Publix, we’ve done for Winn-Dixie, Sam’s, and Costco. Through their refrigeration companies we’ve made those pans for them, and over the years, we’ve done a tremendous amount of business with the refrigeration end of it.
Window Pans
The other part of the industry that we service (a lot of architects now from the northeast require) what we call window or door pans. When you have a home that’s two, or three, or four million dollars, the last thing you want is an outside leak coming inside and ruining your drywall, and causing black mold. What they’re doing is they’re requiring a pan, whether it’s aluminum or stainless or galvanized to fit inside the opening and then it’s secured. Then the window is placed in, so if there is a leak, it doesn’t go in through the window. It drains out. We’ve done those in copper, we’ve done them in stainless, and aluminum. Glazers or window companies, door companies have used us for that. That’s another part of our business.
