Metal Fab Machines at All County
Marques: The one piece that I would consider more high tech is a plasma cutter. That has been a really great machine for us because it does the layout, especially on fittings and duct work and custom products that we make. It uses a plasma cutter that requires it to be programmed. We have tech support and it has items that are already programmable that are already laid out on a template. Or we can make custom products with a drawing program.
Mechanical Shear
We have a mechanical shear that will cut 10 foot 10 gauge mild steel. It will also cut 14 gauge stainless steel. In aluminum it cuts up to an eighth of an inch also in 10 foot lengths.
Hydraulic Brake
All County also has a hydraulic brake called a Roto-Die. It can be switched to different dies. It uses two or three different ones. One we use mainly for our production items; the drain pans and the auxiliary heater pans. That particular machine is what I call the workhorse of the shop. It’s a hydraulic machine and it will also bend 10 foot 10 gauge mild steel and as thin as 26 gauge, 10 foot lengths.
A Pittsburgh machine is an industry product or machinery that we’ve used for years. It’s used for seaming. It’s what’s called a roll former. You put the material in flat and it goes through various rolls and as it does that it starts to shape and form so that the end product has a seam to it.
